Since 1995, Randy Smith has been the Sports Director for Channel 3 Eyewitness News. Randy anchors Channel 3 Eyewitness Sports weeknights at 6 and 11. For 17 years, Randy worked with the Big Orange Nation as a host on the Tennessee Vol Radio Network. He is also the play-by-play announcer for Tennessee basketball games on TV and in 2006, he handled the Vols TV play-by-play for Tennessee football on CSS.

Randy is the first Sports Broadcaster to be inducted into the Chattanooga Sports Hall of Fame. He was inducted in 2003. And since 2002, he has been a member of the voting committee for the Heisman Trophy, college football's most prestigious honor.
Randy has hosted Inside Lee University Basketball from the beginning six years ago.

Randy and his wife, Shelia, have been married for 33 years. They have three children, Christi Perry, her husband Chris, and Davey.
